This painting resulted from a series of challenges in the watercolour forums of wetcanvas.com. "Paint your Tipple". The first painting was of a glass of ale. This is the second one in what could have been a series if my bar had been better stocked!

Many of the paintings here are the result of my efforts to keep up in a Year (plus 22 weeks) Long Challenge at Wetcanvas. The idea was simple, the execution was at times exhausting. Each week beginning in September 2004, and ending in the einter of 2006 I, along with two terrific artists, (Kev Fowler from Preston, Lancashire, and (the late) kevin Slater from Elkhart, Indiana) produced one painting and one poem each. The paintings were based on an image we had choosen but the results were not necessarily (in fact almost never) similar. The poems could be whatever we like, and were added just to make the challenge, even more challenging.
